I was so impatient and tested way early, total mistake lol. Learnt that morning urine after a missed period is the most accurate. The waiting is the hardest part honestly but it gives a clearer result.
My app reminded me not to test before my missed period. First morning pee gives the best reading because the hormone is strongest then. If u get a faint line, retest after 2 days and confirm with a blood test at the lab.

Best to wait till your period is at least a day or two late, and use the first urine in the morning, its more concentrated. Testing too early gives false negatives. I tested too soon once and got a faint confusing line, just wait it out.
