When is it too late to switch doctors during pregnancy?
Im not very comfortable with my current gynac, the appointments feel rushed and im already in my third trimester. Wondering if its too late now to move to someone else. Has anyone switched this far along?
There isnt a hard cutoff. People switch even near the end for comfort or location reasons. Just make sure the new gynac gets ur complete history n scans, n confirm they will be available around ur due date. Beyond that, ur comfort is the priority.
Its never really too late if u r unhappy, but easier earlier. I switched in my 7th month coz i wasnt comfortable n the new doctor took me fine. Just carry all ur reports n scans so they have ur full history. Trust matters more than timing.
Even in last weeks u can switch, but practically do it sooner if u can so the new doctor knows ur case before delivery. Keep digital copies of all reports ready, it makes the handover quick. Dont stay with someone u dont trust.
Dont feel guilty about switching beta, even late on. Your peace with ur doctor matters a lot for delivery. Just hand over all reports n pick someone u trust. Better a comfortable change than staying unhappy till the end.
I changed hospitals around 32 weeks. I called the new place, asked clearly if they accept late transfers n what records to bring. They did, no issue. So even late, just ask the hospital directly n move ur files over properly.
