I actually know roughly the day we conceived because of my tracking. The doctor counts from last period but that confuses me since my cycles are irregular. how do u calculate the due date from conception date?
My doctor explained due date is roughly 38 weeks from conception, or 40 weeks from ur last period date. But the dating scan in first trimester gives the most accurate due date, so dont go only by conception date. Let the scan confirm it.
I used a due date calculator app, u just put conception or LMP date and it tells u. But honestly the early ultrasound corrected mine by a few days, so trust the scan more than the app. Apps are just a rough idea.
Add about 266 days from conception, comes to roughly 38 weeks. But the real due date comes from ur first scan, thats what my gynac went by. Conception date estimate is fine to start with though.
I kept calculating mine over and over haha, did anyone else obsess over this? My scan date was slightly different from my own calculation and the doctor said scan is the correct one. So I stopped stressing.
