Im in my second trimester now and keep hearing about this sugar test everyone talks about. My next appointment is coming up so wanted to know around which week it usually gets done. Pls share ur experience.

Usually done around 24 to 28 weeks, the GTT one where they make you drink that sweet glucose drink. If you have any risk like family history or pcos, doc might do it earlier. Mine did it right on schedule both times.
Mine got done around 26 weeks and that's when they caught my gestational diabetes. The drink is gross honestly but its important, dont skip it. If you have risk factors they sometimes test in first trimester too. Follow your gynac's timing.
My doctor told me the standard window is 24-28 weeks for the glucose tolerance test. She said you usually come fasting, give blood, drink glucose, then blood again after an hour or two. High risk cases get screened sooner.
