Just confirmed im pregnant last week and gynac hasnt scheduled any scan yet. My cousin had hers done quite early so now im wondering when usg is usually done. When did u all have your first one?
My gynac scheduled a dating scan early, then the NT scan around 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 18-20 weeks, and growth scans later. So roughly a few key ones at fixed times. She decided the exact timing based on my case.
I just had my first usg at 7 weeks to confirm and saw the little heartbeat, was so emotional. My doc said the next important one is the anomaly scan. Following her timeline only.
Usually first scan to confirm and date the pregnancy, then a couple more at standard weeks. Your doctor will tell you the schedule, just follow what she says. Dont go getting extra scans on your own.
