When it is safe to have intercourse during pregnancy?
Just found out im 6 weeks along and honestly both me and husband are a bit scared to do anything. nobody really talks about this openly na. is there a time when its considered okay, or do u have to wait till later? feeling shy to ask my gynac directly.
My amma had her own ideas about this but my doctor said for a healthy pregnancy its perfectly fine. I just trusted what the gynac told me for my own case. You should too na.
Generally allowed in uncomplicated pregnancies right till the end for many women. But things like bleeding, cramping or a history of preterm labour change the advice, so a quick word with ur gynac settles it. Better safe.
In my case doctor told me to avoid it because of a low lying placenta, so please dont go by general advice. If u had any spotting or are high risk, check with ur doc first. Every pregnancy is its own thing.
For a normal healthy pregnancy its generally fine throughout, but the real answer depends on ur own case. Best to ask ur gynac directly at a visit, especially if u have any bleeding or placenta issues. They will tell u clearly whats ok.
Dont stress about it too much, for most normal pregnancies its safe yaar. Just keep it comfy and listen to ur body. And if anything feels off, ask the gynac, no shame in it.
Honestly in first trimester I was too nauseous to even think about it haha. Medically its usually safe if pregnancy is normal, but do confirm with ur doctor if u have any risk factors. Comfort first.
