honestly i cry over the smallest things these days, like a tv ad made me sob yesterday. Is this just hormones or does it actually affect the baby when i get so emotional? feeling a little guilty about it.
My doc said mood swings and crying spells are very common due to hormonal changes, especially early and late pregnancy. Occasional tears are normal. But if sadness is constant and you cant enjoy anything, please tell your doctor, it could be more than hormones and help is available.
I totally understand, I cried at the smallest things during my pregnancy, even a sweet ad on TV set me off. Its the hormones and its completely normal, you are not alone in this. Be gentle with yourself and let it out when you need to.
Your feelings are completely valid, pregnancy is an emotional ride. I cried a lot and felt overwhelmed too. What helped me was talking to someone close and resting. If it ever feels too heavy, do reach out to your doctor, no shame in it.
