We have a family wedding coming up which means a long train journey and im 7 months along now. My MIL keeps saying its fine but im not so sure at this stage. At what point should i just avoid travelling completely? want to ask my doc too but curious what others did.
If u have any bleeding, high BP, twins, or a history of early delivery, pls dont travel without doctor's okay. I had complications and was told no long trips at all. Better to ask than regret.
Generally 2nd trimester is considered safest for travel and the final weeks are a no. But it really depends on ur own pregnancy, so the safest thing is to get a fit-to-travel nod from ur gynac before booking anything.
I traveled for work in my 5th-6th month and it was fine, doctor cleared me first. Avoid the third trimester especially near due date, and dont sit too long without stretching ur legs. Carry ur reports always.
Most docs say avoid long travel in the last month and also be careful in the very early weeks if u have any history. Middle trimester is the easiest to travel in. But always run ur specific plan by ur gynac first.
