From my experience, with the first baby, the abdominal muscles are tight so it takes till 18-22 weeks to show. During my breastfeeding days now, I realize how quickly that phase passed. Be patient, your sweet little bump will appear soon.
For me, the bump only started showing around the 5th month, before that it just looked like a heavy lunch. My baby is only 3 months old now and I remember being so eager to show! Every body is different, so dont compare.
By God's grace, your little one will grow beautifully and the bump will show when the time is right, usually after the 4th month. Keep your thoughts positive, pray, and dont worry about when people will start noticing.
I am currently planning and always wonder about this too! Some of my friends say they had to wear loose clothes by week 12, while others looked normal till week 20. It's so fascinating how different every pregnancy is.
In the first trimester, it's mostly just gas and parathas showing, haha! The real baby bump usually makes its grand debut only after the 16th or 18th week.
It usually shows around 16 to 20 weeks as the baby grows. To keep your digestion good and avoid bloating which makes u look bigger early on, drink warm water and eat light. If u have any sudden swelling or severe pain though, check with your doctor immediately.
Enjoy the time u don't show, because right now in my 8th month, I look like a walking balloon and can't even see my own feet! It generally starts popping out around week 16 to 20.
For me it showed around 5 months, and that's when I had to buy maternity pants. I'd suggest not spending too much on maternity clothes early on; just buy loose kurtis and extenders to save money.
There is no fixed rule, but most women start showing in their second trimester, around 18 weeks. You can just wear comfortable, slightly loose home clothes so u dont have to worry about fitting into tight jeans.
My little one is running around as a toddler now, but I still remember searching this online! For first-time moms, it usually takes till week 18-20 to show a proper baby bump. Enjoy this quiet phase before u have to buy a whole new wardrobe!
Everyone's body reacts differently to pregnancy, and some show much later. Pls dont worry if u aren't showing early; as long as your scans are fine, everything is okay. Take gentle care of yourself and your peace of mind.
Haha, with my twins, I was already looking 5 months pregnant by my 10th week! But with single babies, my friends didn't show until almost their 5th or 6th month. It depends on your height and muscle tone too.
