I tested positive very early and doctor asked me to come for scan after some days. I am worried because I dont know when sac should be visible. At how many weeks did your scan show it?
I just had my first scan and they could see the sac at around 5 weeks but no heartbeat yet, told me to come again. Is that what happened with you too? The waiting between scans is the hardest part honestly.
Around the 5th week the sac generally becomes visible on scan, give or take. Early days are slow and the scans get clearer week by week. Try not to read too much into one scan, let your doctor guide you with the next one.
My doctor said the gestational sac usually shows up on scan around 4.5 to 5 weeks, and the yolk sac a little after that. In early scans sometimes its too soon to see clearly so they ask you to come back in a week. Dont panic if first scan looks tiny, its early.
Sac is usually visible by 5 weeks on ultrasound, heartbeat comes a bit later around 6 to 7 weeks. If your early scan didnt show much, they normally repeat after a week. Happened to me, all was fine the next time.
