When should be first ultrasound done in pregnancy?
Just got my positive few days back, still cant believe it. Im not sure when i should go for the first scan, dont want to go too early and not see anything. Around which week did u all get ur first ultrasound done?
My gynac did the first scan around 6-7 weeks to confirm the location and heartbeat. Some doctors wait till the 7-8 week mark for a clearer view. Best to go whenever your own doctor schedules it after the positive test.
Actually my doc called me for the first scan at around 7 weeks yaar. Before that she just confirmed with blood test. Dont rush for a scan the day you test positive, it is usually too early to see much.
We did first scan at 7 weeks, cost around 800-1200 depending on the centre. I waited for the gynac to tell me instead of doing one on my own and wasting money. Ask your doctor first, no point doing it too early.
