just got my positive test, im around 5-6 weeks i think. my gynac appointment is next week but i keep wondering when the first scan usually happens. anyone remember when they had theirs?
My amma kept saying too many scans nahi karne chahiye but my doctor explained each one has a purpose. Just go by your gynac's plan, she knows what stage needs what.
Don't book scans on your own, your gynac will tell you exactly when. For both my pregnancies the dating scan was first, then the 20 week one was the big detailed check.
My doctor scheduled mine around 6-8 weeks for confirmation, then NT scan at 11-13 weeks, anomaly scan around 20 weeks and growth scan in the third trimester. She said the exact timing depends on your case so follow what your gynac plans.
There's a general schedule but every pregnancy is different. Best to just ask your gynac at your first visit, she'll give you the dates as per your dates.
