While Bio-Oil is very popular, it's always safest to check with your gynac before applying any new product during pregnancy. If they say it's fine, you can start using it from your second trimester.
I asked my dermatologist at the hospital in my 14th week, and she said Bio-Oil is perfectly safe to start. The hospital staff also suggested keeping the skin hydrated to avoid itching.
Take care of your body as it nurtures a new soul. Starting from the 4th month is generally good to keep the skin moisturized. Stay positive and cherish these changes!
My mother suggested using traditional coconut oil, but I also started applying Bio-Oil from my second trimester as my doctor said it is safe and highly moisturizing.
I am in my 5th month now and my skin is starting to feel very itchy and dry. I'm thinking of starting Bio-Oil this week. Did anyone else start using it around this time, and does it actually prevent stretch marks?
Dekho, marks toh skin stretch hone se aate hi hain, but starting Bio-Oil around the 12th week helps keep skin soft. Use it twice a day, especially after bathing, but don't expect magic.
My MIL told me that stretch marks are natural, but she was supportive when I bought Bio-Oil in my fourth month. It really helped reduce the belly itchiness when my bump started growing.
