Just got my positive test today and im not sure when is the right time to book my first appointment. Should i go right away or wait few weeks? this is all new to me.
I felt unsure about when to bother the doctor in my first pregnancy. Honestly it is never a bother, they would rather you ask. I wish I had gone in sooner for my worries.
My doctor told me the standard is monthly visits early, then more often as you near the due date. But she said call immediately for bleeding, severe pain, high fever or reduced baby movement. I kept that list on my fridge.
I learned the hard way that early and regular visits matter. Please dont skip them even if you feel fine. And for any warning sign go straight away, dont second guess.
Go for the first visit as soon as you get a positive test. After that follow the regular checkup schedule the doctor gives. And anytime something feels off, just go, dont wait.
