Saw a tiny bit of light spotting today and got little tensed. Im around 6 weeks. Just want to understand at what times spotting normally happens in pregnancy. Planning to ask my gynac too but wanted to know ur experiences.
I felt absolutely terrified when I saw brown spotting in my 6th week, I literally sat in the bathroom and cried. My doctor checked me and explained it was just old blood exiting, which made me feel so relieved. But please check with your doctor because getting their reassurance is the only way to feel safe.
Seeing spotting can be so terrifying, and my heart goes out to you. I had spotting in my previous pregnancy which unfortunately didn't end well, so in my next one, I immediately ran to the doctor when it happened. Please don't wait or ask online—call your gynac right away to get a scan or progesterone check.
Spotting can happen in early pregnancy during week 4 or 5, which is often just implantation bleeding. It can also happen after an internal exam or intercourse because the cervix is very sensitive. But listen to me, anytime you see spotting, you must inform your doctor immediately to rule out any risks.
When I noticed some light pink spotting in my second month, my mother immediately made me lie down and kept me on complete bed rest. My family doctor told us it's quite common but we must still check. It's always best to let your elder family members know and consult your doctor to keep everyone at peace.
I actually had some light spotting around week 8 of my pregnancy, and my gynac put me on medicine support for a couple of weeks. It turned out to be completely fine and I delivered a healthy baby last month! Just get it checked by your doctor so you don't keep stressing unnecessarily.
