Im 5 months now and getting really tempted to start buying tiny clothes and all but my MIL says its too early and we should wait. Dont want to jinx anything but also dont want to do everything in last minute rush. When did you all start shopping?
I waited till the 7th month and made a proper list so I didnt waste money. Newborns outgrow everything quickly, so buy minimal in the smallest size. Spread the cost over a couple of months, dont buy all at once.
My MIL said in our family they shop after the seventh month, so we followed that. It also meant we got lots of hand me downs from cousins. Honestly that saved us a lot.
In our home elders prefer buying after the godh bharai or seventh month, just a sentiment. We did it then and it felt nice and positive. Do whatever feels right and comfortable for you.
