I used to walk and do light yoga before but stopped once I found out. Now im 14 weeks and feeling better, wondering from which stage its actually ok to start moving again. When did u all begin?
I started gentle walking and prenatal yoga only after my doctor gave a green signal post first scan. Best time for me was morning, cooler and I had more energy. Always get your gynac ok first, every pregnancy is different.
Please ask your doctor before starting anything, mine asked me to avoid exercise in early weeks due to my history. For some women rest is advised, for others walking is fine. Its really case to case, dont just follow general advice.
Once your doctor confirms all is well, gentle movement actually helps with sleep and back pain. Start slow, listen to your body and stop if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable. No pressure to push hard at all.
If your pregnancy is normal, light exercise can be done through all trimesters, even from early on. I kept to walking and simple stretches, nothing heavy or with jumping. But clear it with your doc, especially if any risk factor.
I fit in a 20 min evening walk after work, that was realistic for me. No need for fancy routines, even daily walking counts as exercise. Just check with your gynac on what suits your trimester.
