Just got my positive test and so happy but also confused about timeline. When did u all go for your first scan? Dont want to go too early or too late. pls guide.
I just had my anomaly scan around 20 weeks and was so nervous before it, anyone else felt that way? My doctor said thats the most detailed one. She told me the timing each visit so I didnt have to track it.
My gynac scheduled the main ones at around 6-8 weeks for dating, then the NT scan near 11-13 weeks, the anomaly scan around 18-20 weeks, and a growth scan in the third trimester. She added a couple more based on how things were going. Your doctor will set your exact dates.
Dont count scans yourself, your doctor tells you when. Roughly first one early to confirm, one around 12 weeks, the big anomaly one around 20 weeks, and growth scans later. I just followed whatever my doc booked.
There are a few key ones through the pregnancy, the dating scan, NT, anomaly and a growth scan. I planned my budget around those since they add up. Ask your doctor for the full schedule so you can plan the costs ahead.
