Im about 6 weeks and very tempted to get a scan done just to see if everythings fine. But dont want to do it too early for no reason. When did u all get your first one?
I was confused about this too at first. My gynac just told me when to come for each scan so i stopped worrying about timing. Did others also get the 20 week one? Mine is coming up.
My doctor scheduled the dating scan around 7 weeks, then the NT scan around 11-13 weeks and the anomaly scan around 18-20. There are a few routine ones, she gave me the dates each visit. Best follow your own doctor's plan.
Your gynac decides the timing, but usually the first scan is around 6-8 weeks to confirm and then a few more through the pregnancy. Dont go doing extra scans on your own, only what doctor advises.
It is fully doctor guided, there are standard scans at certain weeks. No need to fix it yourself, your gynac will give you the schedule and reasons. Just attend each one on time.
Honestly just go by the dates your doctor gives, dont overthink it. I noted each scan date in my phone calendar so i wouldnt miss the slots. They space them out nicely through the trimesters.
