My doctor scheduled the first scan around 6 to 8 weeks to confirm the pregnancy and heartbeat. Then there is the NT scan around 11 to 13 weeks and the anomaly scan around 18 to 20 weeks. Your gynac will tell you the exact dates as per your case.
I just had my first scan last week at 7 weeks and saw the heartbeat, was so emotional. So I think after a positive test your doctor calls you for the first one. When did others get theirs done?
Usually first scan is done once you miss period and test positive, around 6 to 7 weeks. After that follow whatever schedule your doctor gives. Dont go for extra scans on your own without reason.
