Barley water is great for reducing swelling in feet, but since I had thyroid issues, I made sure to check with my doctor first. It's always best to ask your gynac during regular follow-ups before starting anything daily.
Barley water is excellent for preventing UTIs and reducing fluid retention, which are common in the second and third trimesters. Just boil a spoonful of barley in water, strain it, and drink a glass in the morning. Keep it simple and don't overdo it.
I used to drink barley water in my third trimester when my feet looked like balloons! It really helped flush out toxins and reduce the swelling. My toddler is healthy and fine, so go ahead, it's very helpful.
Having PCOS meant I had to watch what I drink. Barley water is helpful for digestion and swelling, but don't add sugar to it. Drink it in the morning, but keep your doctor informed.
