Tested positive 10 days back and my gynac appointment is next week. Im not sure when they usually do the first scan. Should it be done now or do they wait till some weeks? Curious what others were told.
I went around 7 weeks both times, once I got a positive test I booked the gynac appointment. They decide the scan timing, dont wait too long after a positive.
My doctor scheduled my first scan around 6 to 8 weeks to confirm location and heartbeat. She said the dating scan is most accurate in that early window, so dont delay your first visit.
Just plan it once your doctor tells you, usually first trimester. I checked scan rates at a couple of centres beforehand because these add up, good to compare.
