Apart from the regular check ups, never delay if you have bleeding, sharp pain, dizziness or swelling. I learned the hard way to not wait and see at home. Trust your gut and call the gynac whenever something feels off.
Beta start with the first visit right after a positive test, then keep your regular appointments. Anything that scares you, like bleeding or bad pain, just go, never feel shy. It is always better to check than worry at home.
I keep wondering when is a real reason to call versus just being anxious. My doctor told me bleeding, strong cramps or no baby movement are the must call ones. Did anyone else feel unsure about when to bother the doctor?
Go for the first visit as soon as your test is positive to confirm and start supplements. After that follow the routine schedule your gynac sets. And go immediately for any bleeding, severe pain, high fever or reduced baby movement.
