When to have sex after pregnancy?

I delivered recently and stitches are healing, but I am nervous about when intimacy is okay again. Body also feels different and I am not mentally ready. When did you feel comfortable?

After my c-section my doctor said wait at least 6 weeks and till i felt healed. Honestly i needed even more time and that was okay. Go by your own body and your doctors checkup, no rush.

Doctors generally say six weeks, after the lochia bleeding stops and you've healed. Also think about contraception, you can get pregnant again sooner than you'd expect. Discuss that with your gynac too.
