Im 7 weeks and working full time, abhi tak nobody at office knows. Not sure if i should tell HR now for leave planning ya wait till after first trimester. Working ladies pls share when u told urs?
I just delivered a few months back and honestly, I waited till my first trimester was completely over. Once my 12-week scan came back normal and my gynac gave me the green light, I told my HR and manager. It felt much safer to do it that way.
My little one is a busy toddler now, and looking back, there is absolutely no need to rush. I waited until I was 14 weeks pregnant to inform work. Your health and comfort come first, so take your time and tell them when you feel ready.
Generally, most women wait until the end of the first trimester, around 12 weeks, because things are more stable by then. But if you have severe morning sickness and need WFH or flexible hours early on, you can absolutely tell them sooner. It is all about what makes your daily routine easier.
I am in my second trimester now and still doing mild prenatal walking and yoga, but only because my doctor allowed it. I informed my HR around the 13th week so we could plan my transition smoothly without affecting my routine. Keeping active helped me handle the work stress too.
