When to see a doctor after positive pregnancy test?
Got two clear lines on the test this morning, still cant believe it honestly. Not sure if i should rush to book an appointment now or wait a few weeks first. When did you all go for your first visit?
I felt so impatient after my positive test, wanted to run to the doctor that same evening. But they told me to come at 7 weeks and that wait was honestly the hardest part. Worth it though, seeing the little heartbeat first time made me cry.
I tracked from day one on an app and it suggested calling the clinic to fix an appt for around week 7. Generally no rush the same day, but do call and reserve a slot because good gynacs get booked fast actually.

Once you get that positive line, book your first appointment around 6 to 8 weeks. Going too early they often cant even see much on scan. Both my pregnancies I went at 7 weeks and that timing was perfect for the first ultrasound.
We waited till about 7 weeks for the first visit so the scan and tests are all useful in one go, saves repeat charges. They start folic acid and basic blood tests then. No point going at 4 weeks and paying for a scan that shows nothing.
Usually 6 to 8 weeks is the norm, but if you ever have bleeding or strong cramps before that, dont wait, see the doctor immediately. Otherwise just call and fix your first checkup.
