Im 9 weeks and was fairly active before, used to walk and do light yoga. Now thoda scared whether i should continue or wait. From when is it actually safe to start? Pls share your experience.
I was throwing up constantly in my first trimester, so exercise was out of the question. Once my morning sickness settled in the 4th month, I started very gentle prenatal yoga after my doctor gave the green signal.
Look, pregnancy is not the time to show off gym skills. Ask your gynac first, and if everything is normal, start with basic walking from the second trimester.
I felt so conscious about my fitness, but my doctor advised me to wait till my 12-week scan was clear. After that, I started slow walks, which really helped my mood and back pain.
For me, simple walking for 20 minutes was the best and safest exercise. Don't start anything heavy without asking your gynac first, especially in the first three months.
Because of my GD, active movement was necessary to control sugar levels. My doctor advised me to start regular post-meal walks of 15 minutes right from the 2nd trimester, but always consult your doctor first.
