Im 26 weeks and my gynac mentioned keeping track of baby's movements but didnt really tell me from when exactly to start counting properly. Some apps say one thing, my MIL says another. When did you all start doing kick counts?
My gynac told me to start counting kicks around 28 weeks, in the third trimester. She explained how to track patterns at a fixed time daily. Definitely ask your doctor for the method they prefer for you.
I started kick counts in the third trimester both times, around 28 weeks. Pick a quiet time when baby is usually active. If movements drop noticeably, call your doctor right away.
Usually it's a third trimester thing, your doctor will guide you when to begin. Don't stress about it too early. And if anything feels off with movement later, ring your gynac.
I keep wondering when I should start tracking kicks properly. I'm only in second trimester now and feeling flutters. Did others wait till later to count seriously?
