When to start using nipple cream during pregnancy?
Im 7 months and reading a lot about prep for feeding. Some say start applying cream early, some say no need till baby comes. When did u all start? bit confused honestly.
Honestly I started mine only after delivery when feeding began and skin got dry. Late pregnancy is fine too. Whatever cream you use, just check it is safe to use while feeding the baby.
No rush in early pregnancy. Last few weeks or after delivery is enough, when the skin actually needs it. Buy a nipple safe one, dont use random body lotion there.
I started using a good lanolin cream in the last trimester to keep the skin soft, and continued after baby came for sore nipples. It really helped in the early breastfeeding days. Just pick a baby safe one and gently apply.
