I was on prednisone before for some health issue and now I'm pregnant, around 8 weeks. Thoda tension about when it should be stopped or continued. I'll obviously ask my gynac na, but wanted to hear if anyone has been through this.
When I was at my parents' house, my father always made sure I never touched or stopped any doctor-prescribed medicine without a proper consultation first. Please give your gynac a call and ask them for the exact schedule, do not stop it suddenly.
With my twins, I had a whole pharmacy cabinet at home, but I never dared to stop any medicine without my doctor's green light. Prednisone is not something you can just stop overnight like a bad habit. Call your clinic and get the exact tapering instructions from your doc.
Hi, even I am in my second trimester and taking some prescribed meds. I would never stop anything without asking the gynac first because it can be risky for the baby. Have any of you had to taper off this medicine under your doctor's guidance?
I can totally feel how stressful it is to manage medications when you are carrying your little one. Please don't take any decision on your own, talk to your doctor right away to know when and how to safely stop it. Your health and your baby's safety are the most important things right now.
