When to stop taking calcium tablets during pregnancy?
Im in my third trimester now and have been on calcium for months. A friend said theres a point where they ask you to stop before delivery. Is that true? i will confirm with my doc but wanted to hear your experiences first.
This really depends on your individual case and what your doctor prescribed. Some continue till delivery, some adjust later. Please dont decide the stop date yourself, confirm with your gynac.
Dont stop calcium on your own, the doctor decides based on your stage and needs. Mine had me continue through pregnancy and even after for breastfeeding. Just ask your gynac at your next visit about timing.
I just took mine exactly as long as my doctor told me and stopped when she said. I wouldnt guess on this for someone else. Best to ask the doctor who prescribed it.
