Just got my positive test 2 days back, im so excited but also confused na. My gynac appointment is next week, was wondering at what week the first scan is usually done? Pls share when u all got ur first one.
Honestly, pls dont decide this on your own or by asking online. Just call your gynac as soon as u get a positive test and they will tell u the exact right time. It is usually around the 7th or 8th week to see the heartbeat properly, let the doctor decide.
If u go too early like 5 weeks, they might not see the heartbeat and will ask u to repeat the scan next week. That just doubles your hospital and scan bills unnecessarily. Better to wait till 7 or 8 weeks, confirm with doctor, and plan your budget for the standard NT scan later.
When I was expecting, my mom took me to our family doctor around the 8th week for the first dating scan. It was so reassuring to have my family around during that time. I think 7-8 weeks is the standard, but ask your elders and doctor once.
Hamare yahan toh doctor didi bolti hain ki jab do mahine poore hone wale ho tabhi pehla scan karwana chahiye. Usse pehle dharakan barabar samajh nahi aati. Aap aaram se 7-8 week pe jao, sab badhiya hoga beta.
We are also trying to conceive, and I feel a bit shy asking these things... From what my bhabhi told me, the doctor usually calls you for the first scan around 7 weeks to check the heartbeat. Wishing u all the best, hope u get your good news soon!
Actually I had my first scan at 8 weeks and I was so scared that they wouldn't find a heartbeat. Did anyone else also get super anxious before their dating scan? My gynac said 7 to 9 weeks is the perfect window to get accurate dates.
With twins, my doctor got me in quite early at 6 weeks because my HCG was through the roof! Normally 7-8 weeks is when u hear the thud-thud. Trust me, enjoy the quiet now because once those scans start, you'll be living at the clinic!
I have been reading up a lot on this because we are planning soon! Usually, everyone says it's around 6 to 8 weeks, but I wonder if we should go earlier just to be sure. It's so exciting to think about that first ultrasound glimpse, honestly.
