My home test showed a very faint line and im not fully convinced. I want to get the blood test done to be sure. How early can it actually detect, like before missed period or after?
You can do the blood test slightly before a urine test would show, roughly a week to ten days after conception. Its more accurate and gives exact levels. Many do it after a faint home test to confirm.
My gynac said the blood beta hcg test can detect pregnancy a bit earlier than urine, around 8 to 10 days after ovulation. Its more sensitive and gives a number. She suggested it when my urine test was unclear.
The beta hcg blood test is the most reliable and can be done a little earlier than urine kits. I did it on my doctors advice to confirm. If your home test is confusing, ask your gynac to order it.
