When to take first ultrasound during pregnancy?

Just got my positive test few days back and im so confused when to book the first scan. My gynac appointment is next week but i keep wondering if im going too late already. When did u all get ur first ultrasound done?

Usually 6 to 8 weeks for the first one. Your doc will tell you the right date.

My doctor explained there are usually a few scans, first one early (6-8 wks) to confirm and date the pregnancy, then NT scan around 11-13 weeks, then the anomaly one around 18-20. So the very first depends if doc wants to confirm early or not.

Usually around 6-8 weeks they do the first one to confirm heartbeat and dating. Both my pregnancies my gynac called me around 7 weeks. Just go whenever your doctor schedules, dont rush before that.

Mine was at 7 weeks and honestly I was so nervous before it. They just check heartbeat na, nothing scary. Did anyone else feel super anxious before the first scan?

My amma kept saying wait till 3 months but my doctor wanted an early dating scan around 6-7 weeks. Better to follow whatever your gynac says, every case is little different.

Don't overthink the timing yaar, your gynac will book it. For most ppl its around 6-8 weeks. Just take your reports and go when they say.
