When to take pregnancy test with irregular periods?
My cycles are super irregular, sometimes 35 days sometimes 50, so i never know when im actually late. Makes the whole testing thing so confusing for me. With irregular periods how do u decide the right day to test?
I know waiting without a fixed date is frustrating. Give it about three weeks from when you think you conceived, then test in the morning. If your cycles are really all over the place, just get a blood test done, it'll settle your mind.
I have irregular cycles from PCOS so I totally get this struggle, you cant rely on a missed date. What worked for me was testing about 3 weeks after the time we tried, and if negative but still no period, retest after a week. A blood test is honestly the cleaner answer for us.
Tracking apps struggle with irregular cycles, mine kept guessing wrong. The trick is to go by days since you might have conceived, roughly 3 weeks, and use first morning urine. Repeat a few days later if negative but period still missing.
I'm going through this too with my unpredictable cycles, never sure when to test. Someone older told me to count from the trying days not the period, and wait around 3 weeks. Planning to do a blood test if the strip stays unclear.
Since the missed period clue doesnt help you much, the cleanest route is a blood test through your doctor, especially if cycles are very irregular. If using a home test, wait around 3 weeks post the possible conception and retest if needed.
With irregular periods, count from when you possibly conceived, not from your period. Test around 3 weeks after, with morning urine. If unsure, a beta hcg blood test removes all the guesswork, much better for irregular cycles.
