Had my anomaly scan this week and the report says femur length is measuring on the shorter side, everything else looks fine. My gynac said come back in 3 weeks but honestly im a bit tensed reading about it. Did anyone get this and baby turned out totally ok?
Try not to panic over one measurement dear, these scan numbers can vary. Your doctor looks at the whole growth pattern, not just one reading. Ask them to explain clearly and you will feel much better.
I would really not interpret scan numbers on my own, this one needs your doctor. When my scan showed something slightly off, my gynac explained the full picture and ordered a follow up. Please discuss your femur reading directly with them, they consider everything together.
My doctor said a slightly short femur on one scan often just means baby is built that way or genetics, especially in Indian families. They usually repeat the scan to check growth trend rather than panic from one number. Definitely let your gynac read it in context.
