When to worry about white discharge during pregnancy?
I'm 5 months pregnant and have been having some white discharge. It's usually clear or milky and doesn't smell. When should I be concerned and talk to my doctor about it?
Oh god, I used to worry about this every single day during my pregnancy and kept checking my panty liners! If it's just normal white without any bad smell or itching, try not to stress, it is fine. But if you feel even slightly uncomfortable or see any blood spots, just call your doc to be safe, ok?
Just make sure u are wearing clean cotton panties and changing them twice a day if needed. For normal discharge, u don't need any medicine, just keep the area dry. But if it starts itching or smells weird, don't do any ghar pe remedies, directly visit your gynac.
I felt so scared when I first saw thick white discharge in my second month, I literally thought something was wrong. But my doctor explained it's just normal leucorrhea. It only becomes a worry if it changes color or causes pain, otherwise it is just your body doing its job.
According to the pregnancy tracker app I used, clear or milky white discharge without any smell is totally normal. But if the app shows symptoms like itching, burning, or a greenish color, it means infection. You should track it for a day and show it to your doctor if it changes.
High sugar levels can actually cause more vaginal yeast infections during pregnancy, which leads to thick white discharge and itching. Since I had GD, I had to be very careful with my diet and report any itchy discharge to my doctor immediately. Keep an eye on your sugar intake too.
Beta, white discharge is very common as your body is protecting the womb. But watch out if it starts smelling bad, looks like curd, or causes itching. If u see any of these or if it is watery/pinkish, tell your gynac immediately.
