I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm very excited. I'm curious to know at what stage or week of pregnancy can we usually hear or see the baby's heartbeat during an ultrasound?
It was at 7 weeks for me, and when the doctor played the sound, I felt tears just rolling down my cheeks. It was the most beautiful, real moment of my life. I couldn't believe such a tiny thing already had a beating heart inside me.
Honestly, it is around the 6th or 7th week, but don't panic if they ask you to come back after a week to check again. I was puking my guts out when we went for the scan, but hearing that tiny heartbeat made all the nausea feel worth it for a second.
Usually you get to hear it around 6 to 8 weeks during the first scan. I remember being so relieved because my doc had just allowed me to start light yoga and walks. But always check with your gynac first before starting any routine after the scan!
Beta, usually by the second month, the heartbeat is clearly felt in the ultrasound. Keep eating fresh fruits and warm home-cooked meals during this time. Don't take too much stress and drink coconut water daily, it keeps the body cool and calm.
Oh it's usually around 6-8 weeks! Till then, the baby is just chillin' and making you crave random things. When you finally hear that dhuk-dhuk, it feels like a mini DJ party is going on inside you!
