Best after your period is missed. Test before that and you might get a faint or negative line even if pregnant. I waited till I was a day or two late both times and got clear positives.
I tested way too early and got negative, then panicked for nothing. Retested after missing my period and there it was. Patience is honestly the trick here.
The hcg hormone takes time to rise after implantation, so a positive usually shows around the missed period day. My doc said use first morning urine since its more concentrated and shows up better.
