Twins run in my mom's side and my belly is showing thoda early already at 9 weeks. My first scan is next week, will they be able to tell if its twins by then or do we find out later? Curious.

We found out at the first proper scan around 7 to 8 weeks, two little sacs and my husband nearly fell off the chair. Early ultrasound is how you usually know. Double the surprise, double the everything honestly, ha.
My doctor said twins are typically confirmed on ultrasound in the first trimester, often by 8 to 12 weeks. Sometimes high hcg gives a hint earlier. The dating scan is when it gets confirmed clearly.
