I tested at home and it came negative but i still feel something is off. Wondering if i did it too early or wrong time of day, thats why it didnt work. When does the test actually give wrong result?
If you test before your missed period, the hormone levels are too low to detect, which is just a waste of time. Do it with your first morning urine for the most accurate result.
I remember testing too early and getting so heartbroken when it showed a negative. Don't lose hope, sometimes the body takes a few extra days to build up the pregnancy hormone!
With my PCOS history, my periods were always irregular, so testing too early gave me false negatives. It's best to wait at least a week after your missed period to get an accurate result.
A test might not work if you drink too much water before testing, as it dilutes the hormone levels. Also, check the expiry date of the kit and test first thing in the morning.
Sometimes testing too early or having ectopic issues can cause misleading test results. If you feel pregnant but the test is negative, please consult your doctor for a proper blood test or scan.
If your home tests are showing faint lines or giving confusing results, just contact your hospital team. They can easily schedule a beta hCG blood test which is much more reliable and quick.
