When will i start producing milk during pregnancy?
Im 30 weeks and a little yellowish stuff came out today, got bit surprised. Didnt know milk can come before delivery na. Is this normal at this time, when did it start for u all?
For most women, colostrum starts forming in the second trimester, but you don't need to buy expensive breast pumps or nursing pads in advance just in case. Just buy a simple pack of washable cotton breast pads later if you actually start leaking. Save your budget for the actual delivery expenses.
Your body starts preparing colostrum in the second trimester, around 16 to 20 weeks. If you do notice any early leaks, just make sure to keep the area clean and dry. Focus on eating a balanced diet with proper nutrition to support your body's preparation naturally.
Your breasts start making colostrum (that thick yellow gold milk!) around the 5th or 6th month of pregnancy! 🍼 Some moms leak a little bit early on, and some don't leak at all until the baby is born. Both are totally normal, so don't stress! 🌸
Oh, I remember worrying about this constantly during my second trimester when I didn't see any leaks at all! I was so anxious that my body wouldn't produce milk, but actually, colostrum starts forming inside around the 5th month even if nothing leaks. Don't worry, your body knows exactly what to do.
Honestly, I didn't leak a single drop of milk during my entire pregnancy and was so scared I wouldn't be able to breastfeed. But the moment my baby was born, the milk came in perfectly! Now my toddler has been successfully breastfed, so please don't stress about early leaking.
Listen, your body starts preparing early milk called colostrum around the second trimester, but please don't squeeze or try to pump it out now. It's completely normal if you don't leak even a single drop before delivery. Just trust your body, it will work perfectly when the baby arrives.
