Im in my third trimester now and i noticed some changes in my breasts but no milk yet. Just curious at what point does milk actually start coming. anyone with experience?
The first milk colostrum can start forming from around the second trimester, sometimes you notice tiny leaks late in pregnancy. The full milk really comes in a few days after delivery.
Colostrum is ready before delivery, the heavy milk supply kicks in 2-4 days postpartum. Frequent feeding is what builds it up, so just keep latching baby.
Mine came in properly around day 3 after my c-section. Before that there was just a little colostrum which is enough for the baby, dont worry if it feels less initially.
