I'm in my first trimester, and the nausea and vomiting are really getting to me. I'm hoping for some relief soon. When do nausea and vomiting typically stop in pregnancy for most women?
For me, it became much better after the third month. My mother-in-law used to give me a small piece of ginger or amla candy early morning to help with the sick feeling. You can also try keeping a dry biscuit next to your bed to eat before getting up.
I am currently in my 14th week and honestly, it has reduced a bit but not completely gone. Does anyone else also get nauseous after smelling garlic or is it just me?
My gynac said that for most women, morning sickness peaks around week 9 and starts fading by week 12 to 14. If you are unable to keep any water or food down at all, please consult your doctor immediately as it can cause dehydration.
Sipping on some ginger tea or lemon water throughout the day helped me a lot with mild nausea. But if you are vomiting heavily and feel dizzy, please don't wait at home and check with your doc.
I felt so exhausted and helpless during my first trimester because of constant nausea. But trust me, around the 13th week, it suddenly got so much better and I could finally eat properly. Hold on, this phase will pass very soon!
