Just got my positive test and im a little confused. Does the period stop straight away or can it still come for some time? First pregnancy so honestly i dont know much about all this.
My doctor explained that after conception there is no period because the lining isnt shed, the body keeps it for the baby. So the missed period is what made me test in the first place. Spotting can happen sometimes but its different from a period.
So for me period just didnt come the month I got pregnant and never came after that. Did anyone get any bleeding though? I got a tiny spotting once and panicked but doc said it can be normal.
Once you conceive, periods stop, thats usually the first sign, a missed period. You wont get them through the whole pregnancy. If you see bleeding later its not a period, get it checked.
Periods stop with pregnancy, yes. But just to be careful, any actual bleeding during pregnancy is not a period and should be shown to your doctor, dont assume its normal.
