Im 18 weeks and my belly is just starting to show properly. No marks yet but im wondering when they usually start so i can begin oiling early. When did yours appear?
They usually pop up in the last few months yaar, dont stress too much about it. Oil up your skin, stay hydrated, and accept that genes decide a lot. They are basically mom badges honestly.
Mine started showing around the 6th to 7th month when my belly grew fast. I felt a bit emotional seeing them at first honestly. But now I see them as a reminder of carrying my baby, they fade quite a bit after delivery.
I just delivered and mine appeared around the 7th month, mostly lower belly. They were quite red then but are already fading to lighter lines now. So dont stress if they show, they calm down a lot postpartum.
Usually they show up in the later half, second to third trimester as the skin stretches the most. Some get them on belly, some on thighs or chest. Keeping the skin moisturised helped me, but a lot of it is genetics honestly.
