We are planning for a baby and someone told me there's a way to know the best days to try. Is there some calculator thing people use for this? would love to know how it works.
A conceive or ovulation calculator helps u find your fertile days based on your cycle. I used one when we started trying, it shows the days u are most likely to conceive. Its just a guide though, not exact for everyone.
These calculators ask for your last period date and cycle length, then show your ovulation window. I tracked mine for a couple months to know my pattern. Pretty handy actually, but if cycles are irregular its less accurate.
Just a heads up, if your cycles are irregular like mine were with PCOS, these calculators can be off. They work better for regular cycles. I had to get my doctor to help track ovulation properly, so keep that in mind.
I was wondering the same when we started planning. Basically u use it anytime to find your most fertile days each month. I found it useful just to understand my body better honestly.
Use it to know your fertile window if u are planning a baby. Enter your last period and average cycle days. The middle of your cycle is usually the time. Simple to use, but dont treat it like a guarantee.
