I'm seeing some changes in my skin lately, and I'm worried about getting stretch marks. I wanted to know when women typically start getting stretch marks during pregnancy. Any tips to manage them?
Mostly they start appearing in the late second trimester or third trimester as the skin stretches. I got mine around the 7th month, right near my C-section scar area. They fade over time after delivery, so please don't worry.
They generally appear around the 24th to 30th week when the baby starts growing rapidly. I didn't have time for fancy creams, so I just massaged regular bio-oil quickly after my morning shower. It works well enough.
I literally cried when I saw my first stretch mark in the 6th month, thinking they would never go. But trust me, it is completely normal and almost every pregnant woman gets them. They fade into faint silver lines eventually.
I started noticing them around the 6th month when my baby bump and my late-night food cravings both grew big time! Honestly, sweet treats like gulab jamun are worth every single mark. Don't stress, just keep moisturizing.
For me, they came in the 8th month as the belly grew fast. Keeping active with regular walks and light stretching helped my skin elasticity, but only do what your gynac allows. Keep drinking lots of water to stay hydrated from inside.
Usually they appear in the third trimester. When my skin started itching in the 7th month, my mother lovingly massaged ghar ka ghee on my tummy. It kept the skin soft and reduced the marks naturally.
Uff, I woke up in my 7th month and suddenly my stomach looked like a tiger's back! In this 3rd trimester, I am too tired to even look at them. They are like war medals for carrying this heavy baby, enjoy them!
