Im 5 months pregnant and i love bananas, eating one daily. There are so many varieties here so wanted to know which type is best during this time. Any tamil mommas here?
After my C-section, I suffered from terrible constipation, and eating ripe bananas really helped clear my stomach gently. Sevvazhai is wonderful for healing too, so do include it in your diet.
I eat one small banana before my daily evening walk, as allowed by my doctor. It gives great energy for light exercise. Just avoid eating too many if you aren't active.
Oh, I absolutely crave Sevvazhai with a bit of honey in the evenings! It is sweet, filling, and so good for health. Definitely try it if you have sweet cravings.
I used to panic that eating certain bananas would cause cold or cough, but my doctor said that's a myth. Standard yellow bananas or Sevvazhai are completely fine and normal to eat daily.
My doctor specifically told me that Sevvazhai (red banana) is the best because of folic acid and iron. However, if you have high blood sugar, Karpuravalli is a safer, less sugary option. Always ask your gynac once.
According to my pregnancy tracker app, Karpuravalli is great for digestion and preventing constipation. It is rich in vitamins, so definitely add it to your daily diet chart.
When I was staying at my mom's place, she always gave me Sevvazhai (red banana) as it is excellent for hemoglobin. It is very traditional and safe for the baby's growth.
Since I have PCOS, I had to be very careful with sugary fruits. I stuck to small green bananas or Karpuravalli in moderation to keep my sugar levels stable. Be cautious and monitor how your body reacts.
Bananas were my savior during postpartum recovery too! Eating Sevvazhai daily gave me so much physical strength when I was exhausted from feeding. Please eat well, your body needs it.
