Everyone tells me to eat almonds and dates, but then someone said some dry fruits are not good. I am in 7th month and want to be careful with what I take daily. Any dry fruits you were told to avoid?
My mummy used to say, avoid anything 'garam' in nature during pregnancy, especially in first trimester. So like, too many dates or kishmish, she said thoda control mein khana chahiye. Best to ask your gynaec also once, just to be safe.
Oh god, dry fruits were the last thing on my mind when I had morning sickness! But i remember my doc saying certain ones like dates can be heat-generating if eaten in excess. I mostly stuck to almonds because they were easy to digest.
Since I had PCOS, I was extra careful about everything. My doctor advised me to be mindful of dates and figs, especially early on, because they can be 'warm'. Jussst to be safe, it's best to check with your own gynac.
Meri saas bolte the ki figs (anjeer) aur khajoor thode kam khao, especialy initialy. Unka kehna tha ki woh garam hote hain. Baaki badam, akhrot toh theek hai moderation mein. Ghar pe sab yahi bolte the.
Mujhe toh gynac ne bola tha ki sab dry fruits chalenge, bas portion control mein. Excessive kuch bhi acha nai hota. I ate a mix of everything, and my delivery was quite normal.
Honestly yaar, I don't think there's any dry fruit that's *completely* not good, unless your doc tells you specificially. Just don't overdo anything. Like, a handful of anything is fine, na? Dont stress too much about it!
